Hello! I’m Emi.
Part time designer. Full time wordsmith + oddly-specific playlist curator + dehydrated cafe explorer + unused notebook collector + starry-eyed daydreamer + cilantro defender + eczema survivor + peanut hate club president (allergic)
+ lover girl.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2024 with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication Design and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language + Literature + Culture.
As a designer, I seek to create joyful and healing world experiences guided by the principles of the design justice framework. What I love most about design is the culture built on collaboration, co-creation, and care. My work is inspired by the ideas that come out of sharing experiences with the best creative minds.
I believe that there is always a compassionate solution if we choose to imagine it. Design has become a hopeful space where I can envision a better world and build it alongside a community.
When I am not designing, I am in the kitchen discovering the best matcha-to-oat-milk ratio or re-watching Friends for the nth time.
